Maintenance Program maintains Informix databases and upgrades IBM prepaid and support services.  With this programme, we ensure our users a high level of maintenance service which can carry out:

Maintenance Program is a basic level program with which the user can expand other programs.  Services may be shared preemptively and reactively and some of them are listed below:

Preventative services:

  • long-transaction monitoring – the non-existence of long-transactions is preferable (if the LTXEHWM tag appears in the logical log, all other activities will be suspended)
  • connection verification – verification of connection on RDBMS via all described ways of connecting in $ONCONFIG folder
  • verification of dbspaces being full – managing disk space is one of the most important activities of the administrator; if any dbspace becomes full, some applications can stop working; especially related to critical dbspace (e.g. Rootdbs)
  • automization of system control procedures and recording values of parameters important to the function of the system
  • free space verification…

  • removing problems with the ˝work around˝ procedure
